Job Overview 

WildChina Education is seeking a results-oriented Associate Project Manager to work with our strategic partner in Xi’an, Guilin, and Shanghai. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about hands-on learning, sustainability, and educational travel, and who enjoys collaborating with educational institutions. The ideal individual will excel at building rapport with diverse stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The Associate Project Manager supports the delivery of high-quality educational travel programs by assisting in the coordination of logistics, personnel, and client communications under the guidance of the Project Manager. If you’re eager to innovate best practices to enhance vendor management skills and contribute to both the team and the broader business goals, we would love to hear from you. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage project teams and make key project decisions where needed 
  • Maintain safety and academic standards on their projects 
  • Design and refine itineraries and timetables, activities, and equipment lists 
  • Trains and leads programs on the ground (for large, new, or otherwise key projects) or is responsible for briefing and training freelancer program leaders with the goal of making sure WCE standards and client expectations are clear and setting the on-the-ground staff up for success 
  • Work with the project team to help anticipate and resolve issues based on their on-the-ground experience 
  • Work with the Project Coordinator to help clarify and manage client expectations 
  • Work with the Operator to select suppliers and ensure they have a clear understanding of our and our clients’ expectations, as well as to ensure equipment and materials are purchased and arrive on time 

Requirements 

  • Excellent oral and written English
  • Minimum 1 year Experience in the education or experiential education sector
  • Experience in dealing with vendors with negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability with communication skills 
  • A proven ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment whilst remaining level-headed under pressure. 
  • A proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Thorough with a strong attention to detail
  • Software skills
