National Design Centre

The National Design Centre is the nexus for all things design. This is where designers and businesses congregate to exchange ideas, conduct business, use its facilities and obtain assistance from the national agency for design, the Design Singapore Council.
Program outline:
Uncover the history and heritage of the conserved building, what it stands for today, the community that lives here, and the various programmes that take place in the space. Visit the Fifty Years of Singapore Design Exhibition. and witness how design has evolved from the 1960s and contributed to Singapore’s economy and development. Walk through a design event and exhibition showcases and immerse yourself in the many design events and exhibitions presented throughout the year.

Red Dot Design Museum

A unique Singapore attraction, the Red Dot Design museum presents the latest trends in the international design scene with a collection of more than 1000 exhibits in the field of product design and communication design from over 50 countries.

National Gallery

The Gallery showcases more than 8,000 pieces from Singapore’s National Collection, making it one of the world’s largest and most invaluable public collections of Singapore and Southeast Asian modern art from the 19th century to the present day. Visitors can expect a variety of enlightening programs including guided tours, artist talks, conversations with
curators and lecture series to gain deeper insights into the exhibitions.

Singapore Art Museum

Educational workshops inspired by the artworks at SAM have been specially developed to offer students a multidisciplinary and holistic contemporary art experience. These workshops range from learning specific art techniques, to craft making that encourage originality and development of language skills and self confidence.

Program outline:
Educational workshops inspired by the artworks at Imaginarium: Into the Space of Time and the Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation Signature Art Prize 2018 exhibition have been specially developed to offer students a multidisciplinary and holistic contemporary art experience. These workshops range from learning specific art techniques to craft making that encourages originality and teamwork. Each workshop includes a guided tour of the exhibition of your choice, followed by a hands-on activity component.
