Bring your students on a journey to discover 700 years of Singapore’s history at the National Museum of Singapore! With a history dating back to its inception in 1887, the National Museum of Singapore is the nation’s oldest museum. Its galleries adopt cutting edge and multi-perspective ways of presenting history and culture to redefine conventional museum experience. Students will enjoy a guided tour of the various galleries on display.
BattleBox
A former underground command bunker centre 9 meters below ground in Fort Canning Park, the Battlebox was built in 1936 and was part of the Malaya command headquarters during the battle for Singapore during world war 2. It was also the site where lieutenant general Arthur Percival made the fateful decision to surrender Singapore to the Japanese on the 15th of February 1942.

Students will enjoy a guided tour which covers the fall of Malaya and Singapore in WWII, and how an underground command centre of 26 rooms functioned during the war.
