Behide The Scenes Tours:
Take a peek into the life of a professional ballet company. Walking into a dancer’s workplace and getting behind-the-scene glimpses is another education and learning privilege that SDT offers to our audience. With a structured tour, students get to explore our shoe room, costume sets room and more into a professional dancer’s daily routine and the environment in which these artists work. Introduction to Ballet Workshop:
Take off into the world of exciting choreography and classical music as our dancers showcase their technical agility and fine articulation of ballet. Introduction to Ballet is a lecture-cum-performance which allows students to gain insight into a dancer’s daily routine. This programme is suitable for students of all levels, whether at a primary school or tertiary level, where our dancers will demonstrate how ballet steps are executed. Students will also get to watch excerpts from the SDT’s theatrical repertoire, as well as understand the differences between classical and contemporary dance.
