7 Days
About this Journey

Our Gansu Dinosaur Gig itinerary offers a hands-on paleontological experience to student groups. This program is set in the arid exotic landscapes of the Gansu province – one of the most ‘off-the-beaten-path’ destinations of China and also the site of most of the dinosaur remains in the country. Students start their journey with activities on the dunes and a workshop about the area’s history and science. The students experience ‘dig site work’ at two different locations over three days. As a special highlight, we camp out under the desert’s stars and finish out the journey with a hike through the fantastic Rainbow mountains.
