About this Journey

This program is perfect for students ready for an adventure. Located at Meng Mountain National Park and Shandong’s Krarst Caves, students get to hike, zipline, and raft in the great outdoors. Students will also participate in multiple leadership activities and get the chance to garden with the local community. This program will challenge your students in new and exciting ways.

Program Details
Itinerary

Day 1: Self-Cooking Challenge

  • Transfer to Mengyin, Meng Mountain National Park by bus where you will meet your WildChina program leader
  • Set up campsite
  • Self-cooking challenge with a selection of ingredients and cooking equipment for dinner and breakfast. Students work as teams to decide what they eat, and will be responsible for their own cooking and washing up. 

Day 2: Adventure Activities

  • Wake up and have breakfast
  • Breakdown campsite and leave no-trace behind
  • Adventure Activities: Students will challenge themselves with a hike up the mountain
    • Ride the toboggan downhill through the forest
    • Waterslide Rafting downhill through the forest
  • Lunch
  • Leadership games: Students take turns to lead in a variety of exciting games and reflect on respect and communication
  • Transfer to Yishui County
  • Hotel check-in
  • Dinner and evening activities

Day 3: Community Service Project

  • Wake up and have breakfast
  • Explore the incredible Karst Caves
  • Adventure Activities: Rafting in the caves, Ziplining
  • Lunch
  • Transfer to butterfly valley
  • Obstacle course
  • Community Service Project (working with a local environmental group)
  • Leadership Activities: Gardening work in which students work in small groups (regularly switching leadership dynamics, and interacting with the local community of Yishun)
  • Dinner

Day 4: Return Home

  • Return home
