About this Journey

Located amongst the giant Japanese cedars, Tianmu Mountains is filled with breathtaking views and greenery as a famous UNESCO World Heritage Site. This intensive program covers the seven primary arrows’: shelter, water, fire, food, tracking, awareness, and movement, designed to help students gain a broader enviormental understanding through real, hands-on experiences. In addition to outdoor activities unique to the mountains of Tianmu, we offer group team building challenges such as an healthy campfire cooking and raft building. Students will walk away with memories and real experiences that will last them a lifetime.

Program Details
Itinerary

Day 1: Raft Building & Night-time Forest Exploration

  • Arrive at Tianmushan
  • Meet your WildChina program leader upon arrival and explore the surrounding area
  • Take part in various ice-breaking and teambuilding activities with a theme of tying knots and building structures
  • Participate in Raft Building with newfound skills of knotting
  • Dinner 
  • Night Forest Exploration

Day 2: Market Exploration & Campfire Cooking

  • Wake up and eat breakfast
  • Travel to a local market where student groups are given a limited budget to plan a healthy meal to cook later in the day
  • Hike to campsite
  • Learn how to build and maintain a fire while cooking nutritious meals
  • Experiences in the night: Camping, Stargazing, & Morse Code lessons

Day 3: Cave Exploration & Departure

  • Wake up and eat breakfast
  • Navigate local caves in a Cave Exploration
  • Lunch
  • Pack up and Departure
