Recently, we had the privilege to collaborate with a Patagonia representative and a renowned BBC producer, visiting various international and bilingual schools to share the excitement of our educational journeys. We were also fortunate to offer students insights into professional development and the WildChina Education team transfers our passion for experiential learning into meaningful work.Let’s take a closer look at the highlights of these incredible events!
At Nanjing International School (NIS), Tom, the head of BD, with a representative from renowned outdoor brand Patagonia delivered an engaging session to inspire students on how to become responsible global citizens. They emphasized how small actions can positively impact local communities and contribute to a more sustainable world.
Tom shared examples of the Service Learning projects we regularly incorporate into school trip itineraries. Patagonia’s representative spoke about corporate social responsibility and highlighted initiatives like their “1% for the Planet” campaign, as well as local community service projects in China.
During the discussion, we invited students to reflect on their proudest moments and challenges while participating in community service.
It was a truly inspiring two-way exchange. We offered insights on making service projects more grounded and relatable to local communities, while students impressed us with the meaningful projects they had already undertaken. Tom even received a jar of honey— a thoughtful gift from one NIS student project supporting local beekeepers!
At Concordia International School Shanghai (CISS), Haena, our Director, gave a fascinating presentation on Korean culture. She shared insights into Korea’s history and traditions, taught the students the basic Korean alphabet, and engaged them in lively discussions.
Haena even brought traditional Korean clothing (hanbok) for students to try on, giving them a hands-on experience of the culture.

During the Inno-Career Fair at Daystar Academy, we were honoured to discuss the essential skills needed for future careers with eager students.
Our co-founder Albert, along with Andrea from the BD team, were thrilled by the turnout at our booth, where students passionate about education and travel shared their carefully crafted resumes.
In a panel discussion, we had the pleasure of discussing with NGOs like Tongxin Library, Roundabout, and Our Learning House on the topic “Turning What You Care About Into Your Job”. The conversation was sincere and vibrant, shedding light on the ideal state of professional development—when what we love aligns with what we’re willing to work hard for.
Seeing so many students actively exploring their future paths was heartening. At WCE, we’ve always been committed to offering internship opportunities, and we look forward to supporting the next generation in their professional growth.
As a proud partner of BBC Earth, we invited renowned BBC producer Mike Gunton to engage in a deep conversation with students at NACIS. Mike shared behind-the-scenes stories from his incredible work in nature documentaries, and students, in turn, shared their ideas for sustainable projects.
Reflecting on the event, Mike expressed his joy in seeing young people so deeply engaged with nature and sustainability. This commitment to inspiring the next generation to care for and love nature is the driving force behind his countless outstanding documentaries.
This shared mission is what unites us with BBC Earth. Through experiential education, we aim to offer transformative journeys that broaden students’ perspectives and empower them to take action, making the world a better place.
